Aquí en Micronesia nos gustan las versiones, y hemos sido golpeados con fuerza por una de nuestras bandas fetiche, los folkies The Mountain Goats, con la que es sin duda la cover favorita del año, una reinterpretación a fondo, lírica y emocionante, asombrosa, como sólo John Darnielle podría hacer (él, que escribió un libro sobre Black Sabbath). Tanto me ha impresionado su relectura que, dado que sólo estaba en souncloud, al ser un directo, he creado un muy primitivo video para subirlo a youtube.
Puede que el original de Dio estuviera muy inserta en su época, que entonces fuera un divertimento hard rock directo al riñón, un golpe. Pero ahora coge un aire mucho mayor, un aire de emoción que la lleva más allá, un claro ejemplo de cover que supera al original.
